Tellurian Radio New Music 22nd of June 2020
Hi, I hope you had a pleasant solstice and welcome to another Monday and another batch of new releases Tellurian Radio will be featuring this week. The odd one out is the new(?) album from Neil Young, listening to it you might get a touch of nostalgia. The album was recorded back in 1975 but has only just seen the light of day as it was considered too personal at the time. Many thanks as always to the Music Truffler Kathy, for some great finds. Enjoy
Blitzen Trapper – Masonic Temple Microdose #1 – Holy Smoke Future Jokes – 11th September 2020
Portland band. Around since 2000. The track is about American apathy and the nihilism that emerges from the idea that man’s ultimate goal should be complete personal freedom, whereas it should be ecological balance and all things will follow that.
Walter Trout – Wanna Dance – Ordinary Madness – 28th August
New Jersey born blues guitarist & Singer Songwriter
Dirty Streets – Can’t Go Back – Rough and Tumble – 31st July
3 piece from Memphis.
Ray LaMontagne – We’ll Make It Through – Monovision – 3rd July
8th studio album song perfect for our times
The Photographs – Somebody – The Photographs – 10th July
Singer Songwriter Leyland Grant’s band and this is their debut album
Kodaline – Everyone Changes – One Day At A Time – 12th June
4th studio album from the Irish band. The band say the album’s title refers to all the tracks on the album but is also applicable to the current COVID situation.
Hightown Pirates – Island Monkeys – All of the Above – 1st May
A band who deserve to be much, much bigger than they are. Consistently great songs.
Neil Young – Vacancy – Homegrown – 19th June
The album that was due out originally in 1975 when Young split from his partner Carrie Snodgrass but then he cancelled it because he felt it was too personal. But now it finally sees the light of day.
The Killers – My Own Soul’s Warning – Imploding the Mirage – 31st December
Cochemea – Chito’s Song
The latest from the fabulous weekly single releases by artists on the Daptone label during lockdown.
